Under the direction of the GC/CCO, the Compliance Director will serve as the primary compliance contact and be responsible for developing and building out the company's compliance program. This will include all auditing and monitoring initiatives for the program, developing and implementing policies and procedures, creating and maintaining training programs, liaising with internal and external business partners, and other supporting duties to establish a comprehensive compliance program and culture.
Responsibilities
- Increase compliance awareness and ensure company-wide compliance with the necessary laws and regulations including Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA and other privacy laws.
- Perform auditing and monitoring activities such as ride alongs, speaker programs, and advisory board programs.
- Implement and maintain the Compliance & Privacy Program by creating effective compliance work-plans and drafting policies and procedures that ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Identify areas of potential compliance risk and implement corrective action plans when needed.
- Serve as a member of the Compliance and Risk Committee.
- Manage the compliance hotline.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree; Juris Doctor preferred
- 6+ years of healthcare compliance experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
- Pharmacy or PBM experience is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of fraud and abuse laws, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA
- Prior experience assessing areas of compliance risk and applying the necessary compliance plans to mitigate risk
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment
