A large international Insurance company are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to strengthen their internal Financial audit department in Cologne or Munich. They are going through a large period of growth, so are looking for multiple hires with varying levels of experience.
In this role you will:
*Have independent execution of demanding audits (national and international) in the field of financial Audit.
*After the appropriate induction phase: Operational and technical leadership of smaller audit teams as auditors.
*Provide assessments of the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control systems (ICS) in the processes of the Group companies (insurance companies, service companies and participations) that you have audited.
*Advise and support the management of projects and new processes regarding ICS issues (controls, risks, governance).
Requirements:
*3-10 years professional experience (a variety of seniority levels are available) in insurance companies, accounting firms, management consultancies or audit departments.
*Must be fluent in English & preferably have a strong level in German.
*Having additional training (i.e. CIA, CISA, CFSA) is an advantage, or at least an interest in completing it with support of the company.
*High level of self-responsibility, flexibility and teamwork as well as national and international willingness to travel.
*Strong analysis skills in auditing audits with a high degree of management attention, so that complex issues can be presented clearly, precisely and without errors.
