A top American Investment Bank is looking to bring in a Director of Cloud Risk to join its Technology Risk team and lead the 2nd line risk identification and oversight efforts of its Cloud program. This person will be responsible for the oversight and challenge of first line controls and procedures, identifying risks and developing remediation plans, and providing Cloud subject matter expertise in order to reduce operational losses.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in Cloud Risk, Cyber Risk, or Technology Risk; strong knowledge of enterprise cloud architecture, engineering, or security; and the ability to effectively communicate with senior technical and business stakeholders. The team is also interested in speaking with SMEs who are interested in moving into a Risk function.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd line oversight of the bank's Cloud program to reduce operational losses
- Ensure that Cloud internal controls are identified, mitigated, and aligned with the firm's risk appetite
- Challenge the 1st line & the business on Cloud security and architecture risks
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure communication
- Run risk assessments, operational risk reviews, and develop remediation plans
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Cloud Risk, Technology Risk, or Cyber Risk
- SME in Cloud Architecture, Cloud Engineering, or Cloud Security
- Strong understanding of the Cloud control environment and the ability to identify the risks associated
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior technical and business stakeholders
