Senior Healthcare Economics Anayst
We have a current opportunity for a Healthcare Economics Analyst on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large-scale healthcare claims data to identify trends in cost, utilization, and member behavior.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Conduct root cause analysis on cost drivers and utilization patterns across populations and service lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data quality assurance processes.
- Translate complex data findings into actionable insights and present them to stakeholders.
- Support the development of predictive models and risk stratification tools.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting platforms and analytics outputs.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in healthcare economics and analytics.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, preferably with claims data.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one statistical programming language (e.g., SAS, R, Python).
- Strong understanding of healthcare cost and utilization metrics.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance data.
- Familiarity with risk adjustment methodologies and value-based care models.
