Overview
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Data Scientist to support its mission of delivering high-quality, coordinated care to patients in home-based settings. The role focuses on leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to inform clinical decision-making and evaluate intervention outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy predictive models using diverse data sources such as patient notes, claims data, diagnosis records, EHRs, and lab results.
- Conduct matched cohort studies using R and CMS sample data to assess clinical intervention efficacy.
- Perform complex data analysis using MS SQL and Excel to generate actionable insights.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to translate analytical findings into strategic actions.
- Maintain and enhance data pipelines and analytics frameworks.
- Communicate technical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Tools & Technologies
- Programming: Python, R, SQL, SAS
- Libraries: pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, BERT, XGBoost
- Data Analysis: Excel, CMS 100% sample data
- Techniques: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Cohort Matching
Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in machine learning and data science tools.
- Experience with healthcare data and analytics.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- PhD in a relevant field.
- Prior experience in healthcare analytics or clinical decision support.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and HIPAA regulations.
- Experience with NLP and healthcare-specific modeling.
