Executive Underwriter - Construction

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• ~7+ years in commercial underwriting (Construction, Casualty, and/or Builder's Risk preferred).
• Adaptable. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and thriving in dynamic environments.
• Highly motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills (verbal and written) with strong emotional intelligence.
• Sales & Marketing skills. Skilled at positioning accounts, negotiating terms, and closing deals.

Core Responsibilities:

• Act as the right-hand-man to the Regional Underwriting Lead.
• Develop and negotiate pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions for new business and renewals.
• Identify and target accounts aligned with underwriting appetite.
• Build strong relationships with producers and partners to drive growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven success in marketing, producer management, and new business development.
• Solid background in risk analysis and underwriting for construction and/or casualty.
• Knowledge of compliance, coverage, products, and pricing strategies.
• Ability to adapt and innovate in a fast-paced startup environment.
