Executive Underwriter - Construction
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- ~7+ years in commercial underwriting (Construction, Casualty, and/or Builder's Risk preferred).
- Adaptable. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and thriving in dynamic environments.
- Highly motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills (verbal and written) with strong emotional intelligence.
- Sales & Marketing skills. Skilled at positioning accounts, negotiating terms, and closing deals.
Core Responsibilities:
- Act as the right-hand-man to the Regional Underwriting Lead.
- Develop and negotiate pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions for new business and renewals.
- Identify and target accounts aligned with underwriting appetite.
- Build strong relationships with producers and partners to drive growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven success in marketing, producer management, and new business development.
- Solid background in risk analysis and underwriting for construction and/or casualty.
- Knowledge of compliance, coverage, products, and pricing strategies.
- Ability to adapt and innovate in a fast-paced startup environment.
