Job Title: Risk Data Analytics Associate - Insurance Strategy

A leading insurance organization is seeking a talented and driven professional to join its Risk Data Analytics team. Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, this group leverages advanced machine learning techniques to build predictive models focused on policy-level transactions and customer behavior. These models play a critical role in product development, pricing, risk monitoring, and financial forecasting.

This is a unique opportunity for early-career professionals with actuarial and programming experience who are looking to transition into the data science space within the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage insurance product experience reports for senior leadership and investors.
  • Support assumption reviews and model development to predict policyholder behaviors such as surrender, partial withdrawal, and mortality.
  • Contribute to ad hoc data analytics initiatives across the organization.
  • Assist in building automated data pipelines to streamline analytics processes.
  • Potentially develop advanced machine learning models using big data and high-performance computing tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top-tier university in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong understanding of annuities.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Basic programming knowledge required; Python preferred.
  • Familiarity with data structures, system design, machine learning, and high-performance computing is a plus.
