Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly organized and strategic Internal Audit Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the internal audit function. This role is responsible for managing audit planning, resource allocation, reporting processes, and audit tools to ensure the department operates efficiently and delivers high-quality results. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of audit methodologies, project management, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the internal audit plan, ensuring timely execution of audits and reviews.
- Oversee audit operations including scheduling, resource management, and audit tracking.
- Maintain and enhance audit tools, templates, and methodologies to support consistent and effective audit execution.
- Monitor audit progress and performance metrics, preparing regular reports for senior leadership.
- Support the development and implementation of audit policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between audit teams and business units.
- Manage audit documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Assist in the onboarding and training of audit staff and contractors.
- Lead initiatives to improve audit processes through automation, data analytics, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in internal audit, audit operations, or related roles.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) preferred.
- Strong understanding of internal audit standards and frameworks (e.g., IIA, COSO).
- Proven experience in project management and operational process improvement.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in audit management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
