Sr. FP&A Analyst
Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior FP&A Analyst to join their Finance team. This role will play a critical part in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and delivering insights into the profitability and growth of this clients' life and annuities business.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes for the Life & Annuities segment.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate product performance, pricing strategies, and capital requirements.
  • Analyze actual vs. forecast results, identify key drivers of variances, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Partner with Actuarial, Product Development, and Risk teams to assess the financial impact of new products and regulatory changes.
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports to executive leadership.
  • Support strategic initiatives, including M&A analysis, reinsurance transactions, and capital optimization.
  • Continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, and other analytics platforms.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, preferably within the life insurance or annuities industry.
  • Strong understanding of insurance financial statements, statutory and GAAP accounting principles.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
