Head of Institutions
We are working with a leading Crypto Exchange seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Institutions to lead the institutional business across key markets. This senior leadership role will be responsible for driving institutional client acquisition, deepening relationships with key partners, and shaping the company's institutional strategy in alignment with global objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the institutional growth strategy across APAC and MENA regions.
- Build and manage relationships with hedge funds, asset managers, family offices, banks, and other institutional clients.
- Lead a high-performing team across sales, account management, and business development.
- Collaborate with product, compliance, and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions for institutional clients.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and in media engagements.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in institutional sales, business development, or strategy within crypto, fintech, or traditional finance.
- Proven track record of building and scaling institutional client relationships.
- Deep understanding of digital assets, trading infrastructure, and market structure.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required for internal communications.
- Willingness to relocate to Kuala Lumpur or Abu Dhabi (relocation support provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in APAC and MENA.
