Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Allied Healthcare Underwriter with a minimum of 2 years of experience in underwriting allied healthcare risks, including medical malpractice, pharmacies, and other healthcare-related exposures. This role involves underwriting both new and renewal business, with a focus on delivering customized insurance solutions to a diverse portfolio of healthcare providers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite and manage a book of Allied Healthcare E&O business, ensuring profitability and growth.
  • Evaluate risk exposures and determine appropriate pricing, terms, and conditions for new and renewal submissions.
  • Collaborate with brokers and internal stakeholders to develop tailored coverage solutions.
  • Cross-sell complementary coverages including Sexual Abuse & Molestation (SAM), Cyber Liability, General Liability (GL), and other Professional Liability (PL) products for qualifying risks.
  • Maintain underwriting discipline and adhere to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze loss history, financials, and operational practices of insureds to assess risk quality.
  • Contribute to product development and enhancement initiatives within the healthcare segment.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in the allied healthcare space.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of underwriting experience in Allied Healthcare, including medmal, pharmacies, and related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of E&O coverage forms and associated healthcare liability exposures.
  • Experience underwriting both new business and renewals.
  • Familiarity with cross-sold coverages such as SAM, Cyber, GL, and PL.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience; professional designations (e.g., RPLU, CPCU) a plus.
