Commercial Lines Product Analyst
About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Commercial Lines Product Analyst to join their Product team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, underwriting, and strategy. You'll support product managers by analyzing performance, identifying opportunities, and helping drive profitable growth across our commercial portfolio.
You will partner closely with Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, and Compliance teams to support rate reviews, filings, competitive positioning, and product enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze product performance across Commercial Lines (e.g., BOP, GL, Commercial Auto, WC, Umbrella) and identify trends, opportunities, and risks
- Develop state‑specific recommendations for pricing, underwriting guidelines, and risk selection
- Support rate filing submissions, documentation, and responses to regulatory inquiries
- Conduct competitor research, benchmarking, and insights to guide product strategy
- Monitor KPIs such as loss ratios, premium growth, retention, and segmentation performance
- Collaborate with underwriting and sales teams to assess market conditions and agency feedback
- Assist with new product development, product revisions, and rollout initiatives
- Prepare and present reports to Product Managers and leadership teams
- Support system changes, requirements gathering, UAT, and implementation of product updates
- Participate in CAT management analysis, deductible strategy, concentration reviews (if applicable for the company)
