Overview:
A leading global consulting firm is seeking a Managing Actuary to lead and support strategic actuarial engagements focused on Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Prescription Drug (Part D) bids. This role involves working with national and regional health plans, guiding them through the complexities of CMS bid development, pricing strategy, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead actuarial teams in the development and review of Medicare Advantage and Part D bids.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on CMS regulations, bid mechanics, and actuarial assumptions.
- Collaborate with clients to develop pricing strategies, benefit designs, and competitive positioning.
- Oversee actuarial modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis related to government programs.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior client stakeholders and internal leadership.
- Mentor junior actuaries and contribute to internal knowledge development and innovation.
Qualifications:
- ASA or FSA designation required.
- 8+ years of actuarial experience, with significant exposure to Medicare Advantage and/or Part D.
- Strong understanding of CMS bid processes, actuarial pricing, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven leadership experience in client-facing roles.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Experience in a consulting environment preferred.
