Quantitative Risk Manager - Credit Risk (m/f/d)
We are currently supporting a retail-focused financial institution in the search for a Quantitative Risk Manager. This position plays a key role within Quantitative Risk Management, focusing on the maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement of credit risk models for retail portfolios. The role offers significant exposure to regulatory topics, model governance, stress testing, and senior stakeholder reporting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance retail credit risk models in line with IRB regulatory requirements.
- Perform model monitoring, backtesting, analysis, and documentation for regulatory and accounting purposes.
- Support interactions with regulators, auditors, and internal control functions during reviews and examinations.
- Coordinate and execute stress testing activities and quantitative risk analyses.
- Prepare credit risk reports and present findings to local and group-level committees.
- Lead or contribute to projects related to regulatory developments and risk management initiatives.
- Collaborate with international stakeholders on model governance and risk framework improvements.
Requirements
- Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
- Several years of experience in credit risk modeling, ideally focused on retail banking portfolios.
- Strong programming skills in Python, SAS, R, or similar statistical tools.
- Good knowledge of IRB regulations, CRR/CRD frameworks, and IFRS 9.
- Experience with model validation, model monitoring, stress testing, or quantitative risk management.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex topics to senior stakeholders.
- Fluent English; German skills are beneficial.
