Pricing Actuary - Reinsurance
Selby Jennings have partnered with a forward-thinking reinsurer in Bermuda, currently looking to expand their actuarial pricing team with a mid-level hire.
They are seeking a Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary with 5+ years of experience to support pricing strategy across Property and Specialty lines. This is a hands-on role that offers exposure to both individual treaty pricing and broader portfolio analysis, working closely with underwriters and senior actuarial leadership.
The role will involve pricing model development, deal analysis, and delivery of pricing MI to senior stakeholders. You'll also contribute to reserving, capital modelling, and business planning initiatives, while helping to embed best practices in pricing governance and methodology. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a visible, collaborative role with real impact.
Role Requirements:
- Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary with 5+ years of experience in (re)insurance pricing.
- Strong technical skills in pricing model development and portfolio analysis.
- Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, R, or VBA; experience with pricing platforms like Tyche or Radar is a plus.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with underwriting and actuarial teams.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Willingness to relocate to Bermuda (relocation support provided).
