Cyber Tech E&O Underwriter

As a Cyber Tech E&O Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of Cyber Liability and Technology Errors & Omissions risks. You'll work closely with wholesale broker partners to drive new business, assess complex risks, and craft tailored insurance solutions that meet the evolving needs of clients in the digital age.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite new and renewal business for Cyber Liability and Tech E&O risks, with a strong emphasis on production and profitable growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with wholesale brokers across the country to drive submissions and bind quality business.
  • Analyze risk exposures, evaluate coverage needs, and determine appropriate pricing and terms in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including actuarial, claims, and product development to ensure comprehensive risk assessment and policy design.
  • Stay informed on emerging cyber threats, regulatory developments, and market trends to ensure competitive positioning and informed underwriting decisions.
  • Contribute to the development of underwriting strategies, appetite guidelines, and product enhancements.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and broker meetings to promote brand visibility and market presence.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience underwriting Cyber and/or Technology E&O insurance, preferably within an MGA or carrier environment.
  • Strong existing relationships with wholesale brokers and a proven track record of production success.
  • Deep understanding of cyber risk, technology exposures, and the evolving threat landscape.
  • Ability to assess complex risks and develop creative, customized insurance solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a high volume of submissions.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to underwriting discipline.
