Finance Audit Leader
We have a current opportunity for a Finance Audit Leader on a permanent basis. The position will be in person offered at multiple locations across the U.S. Must have at least ten years of Audit experience and at least three years of P&C Insurance Experience. Key Responsibilities
- Lead impactful audits across global operations, ensuring compliance and delivering value through a risk-based, high-quality approach.
- Partner with Business Units and Corporate Finance to gain deep operational insights and enhance internal control frameworks.
- Own the end-to-end audit process-from strategic planning and fieldwork to reporting-while collaborating with both operational and IT audit teams.
- Engage with senior leadership, presenting findings and actionable recommendations that drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop junior auditors, playing a key role in shaping the future of the audit function.
Qualifications
- Audit Expertise: 10+ years of professional experience, including a minimum of 7 years in internal or external auditing.
- Industry Knowledge: At least 5 years in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance sector or equivalent relevant training.
- Financial Acumen: Background in financial reporting or a related discipline is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., ACL, IDEA) and dashboard platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Experience with PeopleSoft and Hyperion Smart View is advantageous.
- Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP and Statutory (STAT) accounting principles, with hands-on experience in claims and underwriting operations within the P&C insurance space.
