Role: Vice President / Director - M&A Strategy & Venture Acquisitions

A fast-scaling technology and bioscience group is hiring a senior M&A strategist to lead venture scouting and acquisitions across Southeast Asia. This is a full-time, high-impact role ideal for someone with deep experience in technology investments, strategic acquisitions, and scaling early-stage companies. You'll operate with autonomy, direct access to decision-makers, and play a pivotal role in shaping the group's IPO trajectory.

Job Description:

• Independently source and evaluate Series A/B startups in tech and life sciences
• Lead technical and commercial due diligence across multiple verticals
• Identify undervalued assets with strong strategic fit to the group's ecosystem
• Structure and execute acquisitions aligned with IPO roadmap
• Collaborate with founders, internal teams, and advisors to accelerate post-acquisition growth
• Contribute to strategic planning and integration of acquired companies
• Support capital strategy and investor engagement where relevant to M&A

Job Requirements:

• Advanced degree in engineering, biotechnology, or a related technical field
• Minimum 7 years' experience in venture capital, M&A, or strategic investments
• Proven track record in sourcing and executing deals in Southeast Asia
• Strong understanding of regional innovation ecosystems
• Commercial mindset with ability to bridge science, technology, and business strategy
• Comfortable operating independently and engaging with senior stakeholders
• Experience with IPO-prep or SPAC transactions is a plus
