Middle Market Regional Underwriter - Commercial Lines

Selby Jennings is partnered with a leading insurance carrier seeking a Middle Market Regional Underwriter to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on underwriting Business Owners Policy (BOP), Property, and Liability lines of business for middle-market accounts across the West Coast region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong broker relationships within the Southern California market.
• Underwrite and manage a profitable book of middle-market commercial lines business.
• Analyze risk exposures and pricing strategies for BOP, Property, and Liability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and profitability targets.
• Drive growth initiatives and contribute to regional business development strategies.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• Strong technical expertise in BOP, Property, and Liability.
• Proven track record of managing middle-market accounts.
• New & Renewal Underwriting Experience
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Based in Southern California with deep knowledge of the West Coast market.
