VP, Market Risk Project Manager - GMS
A leading investment bank is building out a new team within Market Risk and is seeking a highly motivated VP-level Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives within the Global Market Shock (GMS) stress testing program in New York.
This role sits at the intersection of risk, technology, and regulatory delivery, leading projects across Market Risk, GMS, CCAR, and AI teams. This hire will manage projects end-to-end, driving priorities, resolving issues, and ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate has strong project management experience within Market Risk and can navigate complex stakeholder environments, translate business and regulatory needs into actionable plans, and execute strategic initiatives across data, infrastructure, and tooling enhancements in a fast-paced, highly regulated setting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead projects end-to-end, including planning, execution, governance, and cross-functional alignment
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Market Risk, GMS, CCAR, and AI teams, driving priorities, resolving issues, and ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations
- Drive strategic transformation initiatives, including infrastructure, AI implementation, data, and tooling enhancements, translating regulatory and business requirements into clear execution plans
Qualifications:
- 4+ years' experience in financial services with a strong focus on project/program management within Market Risk
- Solid understanding of market risk regulatory requirements and stress testing frameworks
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs in a highly regulated environment, partnering across risk, technology, and data teams
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills; experience with data tools (Python, SQL, BI) and risk infrastructure initiatives is a plus
