Position Overview
Our client is seeking a results-driven and strategic Vice President of Business Development to lead client acquisition and relationship-building efforts across its core markets. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in business development within investment banking or the insurance industry, and will play a key role in expanding the firm's client base and market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities across target industries and geographies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate executives, private equity firms, financial sponsors, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal deal teams to align business development efforts with the firm's strategic priorities.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
- Lead the preparation of pitch materials, proposals, and client presentations.
- Track and report on business development metrics and pipeline activity.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in business development, with a strong background in investment banking or the insurance sector.
- Demonstrated ability to originate and close new business opportunities.
- Strong network of industry contacts and referral sources.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with a strategic mindset and entrepreneurial drive.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
Expected Compensation:
Base Salary: $140k - $175k
Discretionary/Performance-based Bonus
