Personal Lines Underwriter - Property
Selby Jennings has engaged with a global Insurance provider who is looking to grow out their US presence, starting with their New York office. This office collaborates with both their global counterparts, and their clients that are located in the NorthEast region of the United States. Personal Lines Property Underwriter to work out of their New York office.
This position will be located in Nassau County, New York, and operates on a Hybrid basis, so the ideal candidte will be located here, or open to relocation to Nassau County.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessing and underwriting personal insurance applications.
Analyzing risk factors and determining appropriate coverage.
Collaborating with brokers and clients to provide tailored insurance solutions.
Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
1-8 years of experience in personal lines underwriting.
Experience with property lines of business or baseline understanding.
Strong organizational, analytical and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of New York's insurance market and business environment.
This postition is flexible depending on the experience level of candidate, with ideal candidates possessing anything between 1-8 years of experience, and a background or baseline understanding in Homeowner's Property Underwriting, or Dwelling Fire Underwriting.
