Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine pricing models for professional liability products, ensuring competitiveness and profitability across various segments.
- Monitor and evaluate industry trends, loss development patterns, and emerging risks specific to professional liability lines.
- Support underwriting and product teams with insights on portfolio performance, risk segmentation, and rate adequacy.
- Prepare actuarial documentation and filings for regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Leverage statistical tools and predictive modeling techniques to enhance decision-making and identify opportunities for growth or improvement.
- Work closely with underwriting, claims, finance, and product development teams to align actuarial strategies with business goals.
Qualifications:
- 2-7 years of actuarial experience in the P&C insurance industry, with a focus on professional lines
- Proficiency in actuarial software and programming tools such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, or SAS
- ACAS or FCAS
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly.
