Credit Strategy Lead
A fast-growing fintech looking to hire a Credit Strategy Lead to drive strategy for a home-secured lending product. This role focuses on optimizing underwriting, pricing, and loan structures using data-driven insights. You'll be responsible for designing and testing credit strategies, running experiments, and collaborating across teams to improve product performance and investor returns. It's a highly analytical, cross-functional role with direct impact on business growth.
The ideal candidate has 5-7+ years of experience in credit risk or lending analytics, particularly in mortgage or home equity, and is proficient in Python, SQL, and Excel. Experience with BI tools like Tableau or PowerBI is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine credit strategies across underwriting, pricing, and loan terms
- Design and execute champion/challenger tests to evaluate strategy performance
- Conduct scenario modeling and financial impact analysis
- Collaborate with data science, product, marketing, and finance teams
- Support credit model development and implementation
- Monitor portfolio performance to maintain risk and return targets
Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years in credit risk or lending analytics, particularly in mortgage/home equity
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) preferred
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or related discipline; Master's degree preferred
