Regional Senior Credit Administrator

A financial institution is seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual for a full-time Regional Senior Credit Administrator (RSCA) role. This position oversees the credit quality of the loan portfolio within a designated region and works closely with regional leadership and lending staff to evaluate new loan applicants, approve loans, and monitor existing credits for compliance and quality. The RSCA also manages the Portfolio Managers (PMs) and ensures adherence to credit policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen loan requests and assist in structuring and analyzing borrower profiles.
  • Communicate with clients, accountants, and legal professionals as needed.
  • Review and approve loan applications.
  • Conduct regular loan reviews with bankers to assess credit status and compliance.
  • Recommend appropriate risk ratings for loans.
  • Provide training to PMs and lending staff.
  • Represent the credit function in committees and workstreams.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and internal review teams.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal documentation and security interest requirements.
  • Supervise PMs in underwriting, renewals, modifications, and covenant testing.
  • Monitor PM performance and ensure workflow completion.
  • Ensure consistency in credit policy application across regions.
  • Promote a collaborative credit administration culture.
  • Maintain asset quality and speed-to-market standards.
  • Organize annual training for PMs on underwriting standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
  • Experience analyzing complex commercial credits.
  • 3-5 years of management experience in finance.
  • Strong financial analysis and legal document interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems.
  • Experience in Commercial, CRE, or Agricultural lending.
  • Knowledge of appraisal standards and environmental regulations.
  • Strong time management and flexibility to travel.
