Credit Risk Manager - Project Finance
Join a high-impact Credit function responsible for overseeing and challenging credit risk across a diversified portfolio. Acting as a Second Line of Defence, you will evaluate complex structured finance transactions, provide independent credit judgement, and support sustainable business growth within defined risk parameters. This is a visible role with regular interaction across senior stakeholders, contributing both to transaction decisions and broader risk strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess structured finance credit proposals and deliver clear, well-reasoned recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Continuously oversee portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with internal frameworks and regulatory expectations
- Exercise delegated approval authority, making timely and balanced credit decisions
- Partner closely with front office teams, providing constructive challenge, identifying potential concerns, and guiding deal structuring
- Escalate material risks or policy breaches where necessary
- Contribute to strategic initiatives within the credit function
- Build and deepen expertise across industries, geographies, and financing structures within structured finance
- Champion a strong risk culture, proactively identifying and managing potential exposures
- Represent the credit team in internal governance forums, including participation in Risk Committees
- Support the evolution of risk appetite frameworks and internal policies
- Foster strong collaboration across regional and global stakeholders, promoting consistency and best practice
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, ideally in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 3-5 years' experience in Project Finance or Structured Finance credit analysis
- Solid understanding of credit approval processes and relevant regulatory landscape
- Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail
- Confident decision-maker with sound commercial judgement
- Effective communicator with strong written and verbal English skills
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships across functions
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying informed on market and credit developments
