Risk Oversight Manager
A Global Financial Institution is seeking a Senior Risk Oversight Manager in New York. This opportunity provides deep exposure to senior leadership, high visibility and influence over decision making, and is very hands on. This role will function within the bank's Wholesale Banking division and will provide risk oversight for their commercial lending portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Provide independent oversight and challenge over all risks, ensure alignment with risk appetite, strategy, frameworks, and policies
- Lead risk management function and design, implement, and continuously enhance the risk management and governance framework
- Oversee the monitoring and reporting of risks across key risk types including Credit, Market, Liquidity, and Regulatory risks
- Proactively engage with regulators, auditors, and supervisory authorities supporting reviews, examinations and audits for risk-related matters
- Set, monitor, and report risk appetite and limits where applicable, and escalate significant breaches and emerging risks
Qualifications
- 10+ years of risk oversight experience, credit risk experience is a plus
- Experience covering Commercial Real Estate and Middle Market lending
