Job Title: Actuary
Location: Remote (United States)
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Actuary to enhance our capabilities in Modeling, Risk/Asset and Liability Management (ALM), Data Analytics, and Reinsurance/Underwriting. The role involves standardizing, streamlining, and automating processes to reduce production work and increase analytical work. The successful candidate will lead the production of standardized monthly projections for various financial frameworks and manage the build-out of in-force and pricing modeling with a scalable cloud-based solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement best-in-class capabilities across Modeling, ALM, Data Analytics, and Reinsurance/Underwriting.
- Standardize, streamline, and automate processes to minimize production work and maximize analytical work.
- Lead the production of standardized monthly projections for GAAP, Economic Balance Sheet/Bermuda Solvency and Capital Requirement (BSCR), Liquidity Risk, FP&A, Embedded Value/Valuation, and Economic Capital/Stress Testing.
- Manage the build-out of in-force and pricing modeling (e.g., Prophet) with a scalable cloud-based solution.
- Lead and support the development of a strong controls framework.
- Proactively manage current and projected capital positions.
- Lead and support reinsurance pricing efforts across various products, including MYGA, FIA, FIA GLWB, PRT, RILA, Funding Agreements, UL/IUL, and WL.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with actuarial modeling software (e.g., Prophet, MG-ALFA).
- At least 5 years of experience with US GAAP and/or Bermuda's Economic Balance Sheet (EBS), Embedded Value, and Economic Capital frameworks.
- Proficiency in advanced components of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience leading and working on multiple projects across various functional areas.
- In-depth knowledge of fixed annuity products and asset/liability modeling of fixed annuity business.
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation required.
- Willingness to travel domestically on a monthly basis and occasionally internationally.
- Telecommuting/remote work available within the United States.
