What You'll Do
As the Head of Tax, you will:
- Lead the company's global tax strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all U.S. federal, state, and international tax compliance and reporting matters.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize efficiencies and support growth.
- Build and mentor a high-performing tax team and manage relationships with external advisors.
- Partner closely with Finance, Legal, and Corporate Development on M&A tax structuring, due diligence, and integration.
- Own tax risk management, internal controls, and ongoing process improvements.
- Serve as the primary advisor to senior leadership on emerging tax issues and regulatory changes.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive experience in tax, including leadership roles within corporate environments and/or public accounting.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international tax regulations.
- Experience supporting M&A activities, entity structuring, and integration.
- Strong technical expertise paired with the ability to communicate clearly with non‑tax stakeholders.
- A builder mindset-comfortable establishing new processes, teams, and frameworks.
- Insurance experience - SSAP 101 - preferred
- CPA or MST preferred.
