Director of FP&A Key Duties:
Lead Financial Planning & Budgeting
- Oversee the development of annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and strategic financial plans.
- Manage the FP&A team to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Analyze Financial Performance
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to forecasts.
- Identify trends and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
Support Strategic Decision-Making
- Collaborate with departments like merchandising, operations, and marketing to align financial goals with business strategies.
- Present financial data and recommendations to executives to guide business decisions.
Develop Financial Models
- Create and maintain models for scenario planning, capital expenditures, and profitability analysis.
Ensure Transparency & Compliance
- Monitor company expenditures and ensure financial practices meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Director of FP&A Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; MBA or CPA/CFA preferred.
- Experience: 5-10+ years in finance or accounting, with several years in a leadership role.
- Skills:
- Strong financial modeling and data analysis
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, BI tools)
