Workers' Compensation Claims Representative
Overview
BiBerk is looking for a skilled Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster with strong experience handling lost‑time and litigated claims across multiple jurisdictions. This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates anywhere within the continental United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate compensability and coverage for lost‑time workers' compensation claims.
- Manage a diverse caseload spanning multiple states and regulatory environments.
- Negotiate and finalize settlements, working within established authority levels and seeking management review when necessary.
- Collect and analyze medical records and factual details to make informed compensability decisions.
- Oversee outside investigations and handle litigation files effectively.
- Maintain ongoing communication with claimants, attorneys, investigators, rehabilitation specialists, insureds, liaisons, and medical providers.
- Ensure proactive claim handling by directing next steps, monitoring progress, and driving timely resolutions.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of workers' compensation claims experience.
- Proven ability handling claims in multiple jurisdictions, especially AZ, CO, IL, and IN.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Prior carrier experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with lost‑time and/or litigated claims.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and claim‑related medical documentation.
- Excellent organization, problem‑solving, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
