Vice President - Credit Risk

This is a senior role with high visibility, responsible for providing independent risk oversight, shaping credit risk appetite, supporting regulatory deliverables, and representing Credit Risk at senior governance forums.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a portfolio covering Large Corporate, and Mid‑Large Corporate exposures
  • Lead credit assessment across Structured Finance, Leveraged Finance, and General Corporate Credit
  • Provide independent credit opinions and approve transactions within delegated authority
  • Challenge deal structures, covenants, security packages, and financial models
  • Review LMA documentation and Master Agreements (ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA)
  • Represent Credit Risk at senior committees (Risk, IFRS 9, Problem Debt)
  • Contribute to risk appetite, portfolio monitoring, and strategic decision‑making
  • Support regulatory initiatives (e.g. ICAAP/ILAAP, stress testing, regulatory submissions)
  • Collaborate with Model Risk teams on IRB model development and governance
  • Mentor and develop junior credit officers

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in Credit Risk with strong expertise in Structured / Leveraged Finance
  • Solid background in Corporate Lending
  • Strong knowledge of LMA documentation, risk modelling fundamentals (PD/LGD/EAD), Basel III/IV, and IFRS 9
  • Comfortable operating at senior management and Board level
  • Previous Credit Approval Authority in a similar role

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Professional qualifications a plus (CFA, FRM, ACA, MBA)
  • Strong regulatory awareness (ECB, EBA, PRA, DNB or relevant authority)
