Role Overview
A top tier bulge bracket investment bank is seeking a Vice President to join its Structured Products origination platform. This role focuses on developing and executing customized financing and securitization solutions backed by non traditional and specialty collateral. The position sits squarely within Capital Markets and involves close collaboration with structuring, syndicate, sales, legal, and trading teams.
This is a client facing, transaction driven role with responsibility across both deal sourcing and execution.
Core Responsibilities
Originate structured products and securitized transactions across specialty and esoteric asset classes
Lead deal execution from initial structuring through marketing and closing
Maintain and expand relationships with issuers, sponsors, and asset originators
Work closely with internal teams to design transaction structures, cash flow mechanics, and rating strategies
Coordinate with legal counsel and rating agencies throughout the transaction lifecycle
Support investor engagement efforts, including marketing materials and discussions
Track market dynamics and identify opportunities for new product development
Mentor junior team members and contribute to platform growth initiatives
Product Scope
The Structured Products platform covers a diverse mix of collateral and structures, which may include:
Operating business and cash flow backed transactions
Equipment and asset intensive financing structures
Intellectual property and royalty based products
Specialty consumer or commercial receivables
Novel and emerging structured finance applications
Exposure will vary based on market conditions and deal flow.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
Approximately 6 to 10 years of experience in structured products, securitization, or capital markets
Demonstrated experience executing or originating structured finance transactions
Strong commercial acumen and client relationship skills
Ability to manage multiple transactions in parallel under tight timelines
Comfortable working across cross functional teams and senior stakeholders
Strong communication and presentation capabilities
