Property Damage Adjuster
We are seeking an experienced Auto Property Damage Claims Adjuster to handle the full lifecycle of insured and claimant auto property damage claims-including suits-in strict compliance with Regulation 64. This role requires strong investigative skills, sound liability evaluation, and confidence negotiating and resolving claims efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations on new losses and gather written or verbal statements from all involved parties.
- Make accurate coverage and liability determinations based on facts, Regulation 64 requirements, and investigation results.
- Evaluate and value property damage, ensuring appropriate reserving on all assigned claims.
- Review repair estimates and perform total loss valuations in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Handle property damage subrogation matters from initiation through resolution.
- Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and their legal representatives.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with all parties to ensure excellent customer experience and compliance with Regulation 64.
- Document all claim activity thoroughly in the claims system.
- Maintain proper diary control and ensure timely file progression.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Regulation 64 and relevant Vehicle and Traffic Laws (VTL).
- Strong understanding of liability, comparative negligence concepts, and their practical application.
- One (1) year of experience investigating and negotiating comparative negligence auto property damage claims.
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to handle challenging discussions professionally.
- Experience handling both insured and claimant auto property damage claims.
- Strong analytical and documentation abilities.
- Computer literacy and comfort working in claims systems and digital environments.
