Personal Lines - Actuarial Pricing Manager
Personal Lines - Actuarial Pricing Manager (Remote)
A growing P&C insurer is looking to bring on an experienced actuarial leader to support pricing strategy across a multi-state Personal Lines portfolio. This is a high-impact role where you'll partner closely with leadership and have direct visibility into business performance, rate strategy, and profitability.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning work end-to-end, leading a team, and having a real say in how pricing decisions are made.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead a small team of actuarial analysts focused on pricing and rate adequacy
- Oversee rate indications and support filings across multiple jurisdictions
- Partner with underwriting, product, and finance leadership on pricing strategy and performance tracking
- Evaluate trends, loss experience, and external factors to inform rate changes and business decisions
- Build and refine models to assess profitability and forecast portfolio performance
- Review analyses for accuracy and provide guidance on methodology and assumptions
- Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear, practical way
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve existing workflows
What they're looking for:
- 6-10+ years of actuarial experience within P&C
- Minimum ACAS; FCAS strongly preferred
- Background in Personal Lines pricing is ideal
- Strong analytical and technical skillset (SQL or similar tools)
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
- Ability to translate technical work into business insights
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing decisions
Why this role:
- Strong visibility into leadership and decision-making
- Opportunity to shape pricing strategy rather than just support it
- Collaborative, low-ego team environment
- Flexible, fully remote setup
Compensation is competitive and will vary based on experience.
