The Performance Improvement Director leads Finance Transformation initiatives aimed at strengthening performance, profitability, and operational efficiency with a variety of clients. This individual partners closely with senior leadership to drive strategic improvements, optimize financial processes, and enable data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive Finance Transformation initiatives across a wide range of focus areas, including finance function assessments, capabilitybuild‑outs and enhancements, operating model design, and service delivery model development androllout (e.g., shared services,centers of excellence, outsourcing, and global business services). Responsibilities also include drivingcost‑reduction efforts, process improvement and automation, and working capitaloptimization.
- Oversee day‑to‑day client relationship management, taking full ownership of deliverables, maintaining proactive and transparent communication, and guiding the project team to ensure high‑quality execution.
- Provide independent, market‑informed insights on finance and accounting organizations, including emerging issues, industry trends, and leading practices shaping the future of the function.
- Produce and present high‑quality client deliverables, anticipating client needs and offering forward‑looking, strategic solutions.
- Identify opportunities to generate additional value for Finance and broader G&A functions by uncovering efficiency and transformation opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline; an advanced degree or professional certification is preferred.
- CPA, CFA, and/or MBA credentials are considered strong advantages.
- Prior experience in management consulting (Big 4, boutique firms, or strategy/operations consultancies).
- Experience supporting mergers and carve‑outs.
- Proven ability to lead projects, develop staff, and provide effective training.
- Strong capability in managing multiple client stakeholders and coordinating with various external teams confidently and effectively.
