They're actively seeking a Manager-level professional to lead their Actuarial Process Management team-a high-impact role blending leadership, technical innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
This position is ideal for someone with a unique mix of actuarial knowledge and technical expertise, particularly in tools like Python, SQL, Power BI, MG-ALFA, GGY AXIS, Prophet, and more. Even better-it offers flexibility: you can be hybrid in Austin, TX or fully remote. It truly doesn't get better than that.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the modernization and automation of actuarial and asset modeling processes using modern tools and technologies.
Develop scalable frameworks for automation and data governance, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
Design detailed documentation (e.g., process maps, data flows using Visio) to support valuation, projections, and ALM functions.
Build and deploy robust applications and pipelines using Python, integrating data across platforms.
Drive implementation of enterprise-level actuarial data platforms (experience with Databricks a plus).
Utilize tools like JIRA and Git for streamlined software/project management.
Develop self-service analytics platforms using Power BI to empower non-technical users.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align actuarial, asset management, and tech systems.
Ideal Candidate:
7+ years in the insurance industry with a strong grasp of insurance products and actuarial workflows.
Proven experience with Python, SQL, Databricks, and Power BI.
Skilled in data visualization, building data pipelines, and creating process documentation.
Excellent communicator who can lead meetings, manage cross-functional projects, and drive results.
Familiarity with actuarial modeling tools like MG-ALFA, GGY AXIS, or Prophet is a strong advantage.
Passionate about innovation, automation, and building user-friendly tools and processes.
