Actuarial Associate - Financial Reporting & Modeling
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated actuarial professional to join our team in a dynamic role focused on financial reporting, modeling, and strategic planning. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple business functions and contribute to high-impact initiatives that drive financial performance and support enterprise-wide decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial projection models used for planning and analysis
- Conduct sources of earnings analysis and explain key drivers of financial results
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly forecasts and long-term financial plans
- Enhance existing reporting and modeling processes with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and control
- Collaborate with teams across finance, pricing, and operations to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Support ad hoc projects related to new product development, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives
- Partner with actuarial teams across the organization on special projects and cross-functional efforts
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices in actuarial science and financial reporting
Qualifications:
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation required
- Minimum of 3 years of actuarial experience, preferably in insurance or financial services
- Strong understanding of US Statutory, US GAAP, and Bermuda EBS accounting frameworks
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with GGY Axis or similar actuarial modeling software
- Proficiency in R, Python, or other statistical programming languages
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large data sets
