A global industrial manufacturer with a strong presence across Europe and North America is seeking a Lead Accountant to join its finance team in Turkey. Role Summary
The Lead Accountant will serve as the primary point of contact for all accounting and statutory reporting activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards. This role is critical in managing financial close processes, audits, and tax matters while supporting business performance and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full set of accounting activities, including General Ledger, AP, AR, and fixed assets.
- Coordinate monthly closing processes and validate critical transactions.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and manage statutory audits.
- Supervise tax compliance (VAT, corporate tax, transfer pricing) and related documentation.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX procedures, and corporate compliance policies.
- Drive process improvements and maintain high-quality reporting standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- 5-10 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS, Turkish accounting principles, and tax laws.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in English; international tax and transfer pricing experience is a plus.
