Investment Analyst - Convertable Arbitrage
About the Role
A leading global multi manager platform is looking to bring on an Analyst to a discretionary investing team focused on convertible bonds and related capital structure opportunities. This role offers exposure to convertibles, credit, and equity-linked instruments, supporting a senior Portfolio Manager with a strong track record.
Responsibilities:
- Security Analysis: Perform deep-dive analysis on convertible bonds, including pricing, structure, and embedded options.
- Capital Structure Research: Evaluate issuer fundamentals, credit metrics, and equity valuation to identify relative value opportunities.
- Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain models for convertibles, including credit spreads, implied volatility, and option-adjusted pricing.
- Trade Support: Assist in structuring and expressing trades across convertibles, credit, and equity-linked instruments.
- Market Monitoring: Track new issuance, corporate actions, and secondary market flows; maintain watchlists and dashboards.
- Communication: Prepare concise investment memos and present findings to the PM and team.
Requirements:
- Experience (2-4 years) from one of:
- Investment Banking / Restructuring
- Analyst at a credit or equity pod with exposure to convertibles or capital structure investing
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, and equity valuation.
- Demonstrated interest in convertibles and hybrid securities.
