A leading and rapidly growing insurance organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced actuary to lead pricing strategy for its commercial auto portfolio. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape pricing frameworks, collaborate across departments, and contribute to the development of innovative actuarial tools in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, refine, and implement pricing models tailored to commercial auto insurance.
- Conduct in-depth actuarial analyses to support pricing assumptions and strategic decisions.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identifying trends and opportunities for optimization.
- Support regulatory filings and ensure compliance with rate filing requirements.
- Collaborate with data science teams to integrate predictive analytics into pricing strategies.
- Develop exposure-based methodologies and enhance risk segmentation.
- Partner closely with underwriting to align pricing with business objectives.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving profitability and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of actuarial experience in the P&C insurance sector, with a strong focus on commercial lines.
- Credentialed actuary (ACAS or FCAS preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Familiarity with programming or data tools such as SQL, Python, R, SAS, VBA, or Power BI is a plus.
