Network/ Site Reliability Engineer

A technology-driven organization ia seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with expertise in BGP and multicast technologies to join our infrastructure team and support mission-critical systems.

Salary: Base salary of $145,000 - $175,000 with a discretionary bonus.


Position Overview:
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures. You will play a key role in optimizing routing protocols and multicast traffic to ensure efficient data delivery across our enterprise and customer-facing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  • Implement and troubleshoot BGP routing across internal and external networks.
  • Configure and support multicast protocols such as PIM (Sparse/Dense Mode), IGMP, and MSDP.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support applications and services that rely on multicast traffic (e.g., video streaming, financial data feeds).
  • Maintain detailed network documentation, including topology diagrams and configuration standards.
  • Participate in network capacity planning and performance tuning.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for network-related incidents and escalations.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with BGP and multicast technologies.
  • Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, or Arista networking equipment.
  • Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP).
  • Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, NetFlow).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
