Location: New York, NY (Midtown)
Work Schedule: Hybrid (in-office Tuesday-Thursday)
Compensation: Base + bonus + equity + full benefits

Overview
A digitally driven commercial bank is hiring a Relationship Manager to help grow its presence in the startup and innovation economy. This is a high-visibility, externally facing role focused on building relationships with early-stage and high-growth tech companies. You'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, understanding the financial needs of fast-moving clients, and delivering tailored solutions that support their growth and operations.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting and enjoys working closely with founders and executive teams. You'll collaborate across internal teams to ensure clients receive seamless, high-impact service, while also contributing to the broader commercial strategy of a forward-thinking financial institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development: Proactively source and onboard startup/tech clients
  • Relationship Management: Build long-term partnerships with founders and execs
  • Solution Selling: Tailor banking solutions to client needs
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, tech, and compliance teams
  • Strategic Influence: Help shape the bank's growth in the innovation economy
  • Sales Targets: Drive deposit growth and product adoption

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within fintech, commercial banking, or B2B SaaS
  • Proven success working with startups or venture-backed companies
  • Strong understanding of payment infrastructure and deposit products
  • Consultative sales approach with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced education or certifications are a plus
