About the Role

  • The Associate Actuary will be a key contributor to the actuarial team, driving pricing strategy, predictive modeling, and analytical insights. This role involves leading complex initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams, and delivering data-driven recommendations that support business growth and profitability. It's an ideal opportunity for someone looking to expand their technical expertise while influencing strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced actuarial analyses, including pricing evaluations, rate filings, and portfolio reviews.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary projects and coordinate efforts across departments.
  • Build and refine actuarial models to support business objectives.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide peer review on technical work.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and stay informed on industry developments.
  • Support training efforts and help translate complex model results for broader audiences.
  • Contribute to innovation by exploring new methodologies and tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Finance.
  • ACAS designation and MAAA membership required.
  • At least 6 years of actuarial experience in insurance or reinsurance, ideally with a focus on pricing.
  • Strong command of actuarial software, data analysis platforms, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
