Software Investment Banking Analysts | M&A
Selby Jennings is partnered with the M&A arm of a global full service bank looking to add a Software Investment Banking Analyst to their team. This banker will support Software deals working with a bespoke group of sharp individuals.
Ideal candidates have experience in Software M&A with 1-2 two years of experience and currently in or open to relocating to Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Execution
- Assist in the execution of M&A transactions, including sell-side, buy-side, and strategic advisory mandates.
- Prepare client deliverables such as pitch books, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), and management presentations.
- Support due diligence processes and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Financial Analysis & Modeling
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including DCF, LBO, public comparables, and precedent transaction analyses.
- Conduct valuation analyses and scenario modeling to support strategic recommendations.
- Analyze financial statements and key performance metrics for software companies (e.g., ARR, CAC, LTV, churn).
Industry & Market Research
- Conduct in-depth research on software industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
- Monitor market activity and identify potential acquisition targets or strategic buyers.
- Prepare sector updates and thought leadership materials for internal and client use.
