Focused on the development, ownership, and operation of energy infrastructure, our client is led by a team with a proven track record in strategic execution and long-term value creation. With capital support from leading financial sponsors and a disciplined approach to growth, our client is positioned to be a differentiated platform in the North American midstream sector.
To support continued expansion, our client is seeking a Corporate Development Analyst to join its corporate development team. This role offers meaningful exposure to strategic transactions across the energy value chain, including M&A, greenfield development, and commercial partnerships. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or M&A advisory, with direct exposure to the energy or infrastructure sectors strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end execution of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic investments
- Build detailed financial models to evaluate opportunities, including valuation, accretion/dilution, and sensitivity analysis
- Prepare internal investment memoranda and presentations for executive and board-level audiences
- Lead industry and competitive research efforts to support strategic planning and origination
- Coordinate due diligence processes across legal, financial, technical, and operational workstreams
Qualifications:
- 1-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or M&A advisory
- Demonstrated transaction experience, with the ability to navigate complex financial and strategic analyses
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint proficiency; experience building and presenting detailed financial models
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort engaging senior stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA a plus
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in the energy, infrastructure, or broader natural resources sectors
