Senior Pricing Actuary

Our client is expanding their U.S. Life Reinsurance business and is seeking a Senior Pricing Actuary to help build and enhance their mortality pricing capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team and play a key role in shaping pricing strategy and infrastructure for a relatively new entrant in the U.S. life reinsurance market.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset to support pricing quotes, assumption development, and experience analysis. This role offers high visibility and the chance to influence business decisions in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of best estimate pricing assumptions for reinsurance quote opportunities.
  • Support the creation and refinement of product pricing strategies and assumption frameworks.
  • Collaborate with modelers to ensure pricing models are appropriately scoped and meet business needs.
  • Ensure models comply with corporate guidelines, reflect industry best practices, and are updated for regulatory changes (e.g., US GAAP LDTI, PBR).
  • Maintain thorough documentation of pricing materials for peer review, internal approvals, and audit readiness.
  • Engage with clients to gather data and support the pricing process.
  • Review inforce treaty experience to monitor performance and inform future pricing decisions.

Qualifications

  • FSA or experienced ASA designation required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of U.S. life insurance experience, with a focus on pricing or product development.
  • Proficiency in GGY AXIS or a comparable actuarial modeling system.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience with R, SQL, Tableau, or Python is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
