Senior Accounting Team Lead (m/f/d)
We are supporting a client to fill a position as Accounting Lead (m/f/d) to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong background in accounting, a passion for fintech innovation, and the ability to lead a growing team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Manage external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and implement internal controls and accounting policies to support scalability and compliance.
- Mentor and manage a small team of accountants and finance associates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
