Reinsurance Accounting Supervisor
We are seeking a skilled Reinsurance Accounting Supervisor to join a top P&C Reinsurance firm as part of their Reinsurance Accounting team. This role is crucial for managing and processing reinsurance accounts and ensuring accurate documentation and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare complex ceded treaty and facultative reinsurance accounts.
- Record reinsurance transactions accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with management to verify financial transactions.
- Manage cash disbursements/receipts, generate billings, monitor collections, and prepare aging reports.
- Mentor a Junior Accountant, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
- Support upper management and statutory reporting, assist with audits, and analyze reinsurance data for improvement opportunities.
What you'll need to be successful…
- 6+ years of experience in accounting, auditing, or finance.
- Proven leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of the P&C reinsurance industry.
- Treaty and Facultative accounting experience with Ceded and Assumed accounting a plus
